Meet the Artist

Breanna Hite

I’ve always been a maker. My grandmother taught me to sew my first dress when I was 14 and now I make all my clothes. I spin yarn and knit lace. I have painted furniture, rebuilt frames, and designed rooms. But reupholstery is magical to me. It combines my love of fiber arts and fine fabrics with my desire to preserve beautiful, well-made old furniture.

My values are craftsmanship, sustainability, and beauty. The name Kindled Hearth comes from my commitment to the home and the spark of life and love within it. To kindle that spark is to support the vision each person has for the home. Your space matters. The comfort and beauty of each piece of furniture can be made custom, enhanced with workmanship and design.

Expert Craftsmanship

I am committed to learning the very best ways to reupholster furniture and fabricate pillows, cushions, and slipcovers. Craftsmanship ensures comfort and durability.

Creative Collaboration

Even if you’ve never worked with an interior designer, the design of even one piece of furniture can elevate a space. I want to create a piece that truly reflects you.

Sustainable Materials

I am able to create furniture without using any petroleum based products. The materials are more of an investment, but the furniture can be made free of off-gassing and harmful chemicals.
